If you tie-up your boat at the MIBC docks, we require that you tie up your boat per the diagram below to avoid damage to our docks or other boats.
All lines need to be checked regularly for wear and seasonal water level changes.
Snubbers must effectively absorb wave shock from cleats and mooring rings without allowing boat to damage dock or adjacent boats. Spring lines are required and shall prevent boat from riding into dock under heavy wave action. Moorage line must hold boat if snubber breaks. Recommended snubbers include Forsheda No.1 or equivalent.
Boats moored in more exposed slips should consider using a second spring line on the opposite side and using “Rocker Stoppers” to dampen wave action.
